We are currently searching for a Program Coordinator - Community Connector to add to our team.
This position will provide navigation support to connect vulnerable individuals with access to essential community resources and support services, and to address barriers. The Program Coordinator – Community Connector will also plan, promote, coordinate, and deliver impactful events and programs from start to finish, including activities that enhance community support for marginalized residents. Areas of client focus include youth and vulnerable adults, persons with disabilities, newcomers, and/or Indigenous residents. Residents may require assistance related to dementia, mental health, houselessness, elder abuse, family violence, isolation, or other personal/social challenges.
Our ideal candidates will have an undergraduate degree or certificate in Social Work, Nursing, Education, Human Services or related field along with a minimum of 3 years of related experience, including experience in screening, assessment, community outreach, case management, and counseling. Training and/or experience in areas related to mental wellness, family/domestic violence awareness, geriatrics, youth services, risk assessment, and/or working with vulnerable adults is required.
The successful incumbent will be a strategic thinker with exceptional adaptability and collaboration skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment. They will leverage their strong interpersonal abilities to communicate inclusively and respectfully, building professional relationships with vulnerable residents and service providers. The incumbent will be skilled in applying both asset-based community development and strength-based, human-centered approaches to effectively support and empower individuals and communities. A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and the ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record and Child Intervention check is required.
This is a temporary position with an expected end date of March 1, 2026. Based on a 35-hour work week, the salary range is $60, 684 - $77, 208 per annum. This position may at times work outside of the office and in varied locations in community using a variety of methods (in person, by phone and virtually) and a combination of daytime and some recurring evening hours as required to best support the needs of vulnerable individuals.
