Accountant

Professional Staffing has partnered with a well-established organization in Downtown Edmonton in the search for an Accountant. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for full cycle accounting including month end, up to Financial Statements.

This role requires on-site presence 5 days a week in Edmonton.

Responsibilities

• Month end close - supporting the Controller,
• Preparation for year-end audits
• Compile and analyze financial statements
• Prepares monthly journal entries, accruals, prepaids, amortization, allocations, and adjustments
• Grant reporting
• Assist and prepare department budgets and quarterly forecasts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• An Asset to be in the CPA program
• 3+ years of full cycle accounting - Month end close up to Financial Statements
• Grand and Fund Reporting Experience
• Familiarity with IFRS or PSAS Accounting Standards
