Carecor is looking for dedicated Unit Clerks to join our amazing team working in hospitals serving the Halifax Regional Municipality and the surrounding area. We’re ready when you are! Join our medical administration team and make a direct impact on the delivery of safe, exceptional patient care. Our shifts place you in a variety of work environments such as hospital in-patient care units, outpatient clinics, hospital-based physicians’ offices, and administrative departments. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12-hour shift. This is a Casual position with flexible shifts. Why Join Us

• Mandatory Requirement: Training in STAR and PHS registration (Patient Processing System) and other Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) programs -- i.e. Admitting-Discharging-Transferring, diet ordering, medical record processing, booking/registration, paging
• Must have a grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office
• One (1) year related business/clerical experience
• Must have an interest in working in an acute care hospital setting
• Current CPR Level C and N95 Mask Fit
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV)
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years
• Willing to undergo Criminal Background Check as a condition of hire
