As the Project Coordinator you will support an ambitious energy retrofit capital project spanning over 120 multifamily properties across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Collaborating with internal project team, and other stakeholders you will coordinate, organize and manage project information, workflows, actionable items, schedule updates, budget updates, progress claims, change orders, and all reporting. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Assist with project administration throughout all stages and phases of the project.
  • Support daily project activities.
  • Manage and file all project information and documentation including a communications log.
  • Record, update and manage all project actions.
  • Prepare requests for proposals and tender packages.
  • Prepare and issue contract agreements, service agreements and purchase orders using approved templates.
  • Support the updating of the master development schedule.
  • Review invoices for services or work provided and ensure accuracy of information and that all required documentation is attached.
  • Support preparation of the monthly progress billing packages, and all other financial submissions.
  • Update the project budgets, costs reports and cash flows.
  • Manage the change order management process.
  • Update work in progress reports, and all other project reporting processes.
  • Assist in maintaining the project risk register.
  • Assist in the project commissioning and closeout functions.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • 1-5 years of experience in Development or Construction is required, preferably within the multifamily residential asset classes.
  • Completion of a University Degree or relevant diploma in Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied information and processes on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience collaborating with Internal Stakeholders, Design Consultants, Construction Manager, Subcontractors, and Testing Inspection Firms.
  • Prior technical experience with design and construction execution.
  • Prior technical experience coordinating with mechanical, electrical and building envelope systems
  • Prior experience with project accounting and project financial management.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills with comfort in maintaining strict timelines and deadlines.
  • Experience prioritizing and delegating work and tasks.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Yardi, VFA, Adobe Acrobat Suite, Procore.
  • The successful candidate will require a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
