What You'll Do
As the Controller, you'll play a key leadership role in managing the company’s financial operations. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for overseeing all bookkeeping and accounting duties, ensuring seamless financial operations, and contributing to the company’s long-term financial health.
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
- Manage EFT receipts, bank deposits, credit terms, and collections
- Handle customer invoicing, credit memos, and account reconciliations
- Ensure accurate entry of invoices, payment processing, and supplier reconciliations
- Oversee payroll functions, including ROEs, expenses, commissions, and T4 preparation
- Develop and manage annual budgets and cash flow projections
- Maintain strong banking relationships, manage credit, and mitigate financial risk
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and compliance measures
- Provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth
- Prepare year-end reporting and coordinate tax filings with external accountants
What You Bring
- CPA, CGA designation combined with post-secondary certification in accounting
- Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in construction or project-based environments
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve reconciliation issues, and set financial goals
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a strategic mindset
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive base salary between $80,000 - $105,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, Health spending account, profit-sharing and modified summer hours.
