Collaborate with HR and other departments to gather requirements, translating them into system specifications to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and manage HRIS or technology implementation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Design, configure, and customize HRIS platforms, setting up workflows, user roles, permissions, and reporting structures tailored to organizational needs.
- Conduct thorough testing of HRIS solutions, including user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the system functions correctly and meets all specifications.
- Evaluate existing HR processes, process modelling, identify inefficiencies and improvement areas, and implement automation solutions to streamline operations.
- Current state assessment, Future state process, and operating model design.
- Develop comprehensive training programs and materials, delivering both online and in-person sessions to ensure end-users are proficient in using the HRIS.
- Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and facilitating change management strategies.
- Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into HR metrics and performance, making data-driven recommendations to enhance HR strategy and decision-making.
- Lead HRIS implementations and Application Management Services engagements.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Lead Consultant – HR Information Systems
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HRIS or HR technology implementation, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
3. Proficiency in HRIS platforms (preferably Tier 1 ERPs) and project management tools.
4. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
5. Experience with cloud-based HR solutions and integrations is preferred.
6. Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Preferred Certifications and Designations:
Relevant certifications such as PMP, SHRM-CP, PHR, PCP, CPM, or CPHR are a plus.
Location: Calgary (or remote based in Canada)
