Position Overview Under the direction of the Executive Director of Facility and Development, the Junior Project Manager will assist in leading strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, identify new opportunities, reduce costs, and build partnerships while also overseeing the execution of expansion plans. As an entry-level role, the Junior Project Manager will gain hands-on experience by shadowing multiple departments, including Facilities Management, Procurement, and Development, and attending required project management and strategic planning meetings. The role provides an opportunity to participate in GERC-supported courses and further professional education to enhance career growth. Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies aligned with GERC and Nation

goals.

  • Assist in conducting market research and data analysis to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Support the creation and management of project development plans, including budgets, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Relationship Building & Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in networking and outreach initiatives to identify potential development opportunities.
  • Support negotiations and deal closures with key stakeholders.
  • Financial Performance & Cost Management
  • Assist in monitoring project costs, analyzing financial impact, and ensuring project budgets are adhered to.
  • Identify and proactively address potential risks, challenges, and inefficiencies in development activities.
  • Ensure that project execution aligns with GERC and Tsuut’ina Nation financial goals.
  • Project Coordination & Oversight
  • Shadow senior leaders to learn project planning, procurement, and facility management processes.
  • Participate in meetings with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support the smooth execution of facility and development projects.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance and effective performance tracking.
  • Industry Engagement & Professional Development
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent GERC and the Nation at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and support for ongoing development initiatives.
