Position Name: Sourcing Specialist - Supply Chain Reporting to Supply Chain Manager, the Sourcing specialists will work towards improving sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability without compromising product quality. He / She will negotiate with suppliers on finalizing best contract pricing & product quality, sample ordering & testing, lead time finalizations, developing annual contracts and internal stakeholder approvals. The sourcing specialist will also be responsible for reviewing & auditing existing vendor on quality, supply delivery in coordination with the buying team & other relevant internal/external partners. Key Responsibilities
- Source materials, assets and services in accordance with policies and procedures, using cost-effective and ethical approaches and meeting required criteria.
- Coordinate with Marketing and R&D for introduction of new products/vendors.
- Prepares and analyzes request for quotes and interprets information requests.
- Conducts cost analysis and proposes best value source.
- Establish annual contracts with suppliers and conduct timely supplier evaluations.
- Actively focus on resolution of key quality performance of suppliers.
- Understand and present key commodity indices/trends for raw materials (Aluminum, PVC, Steel, Sand, Zinc, etc.)
- Identifies, evaluates, and escalates risks that could affect project deliverables, activities, and supply schedules.
Qualifications And Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Supply Chain / Procurement or Similar
- 3 plus years’ experience in sourcing practices and costing, under a lean manufacturing system.
- Ability to engage with suppliers and develop long term relationships.
- Awareness of commonly used Windows & Doors materials, permanent/non-permanent materials, services, tools, and equipment is preferred.
- Good interpersonal relationship skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills are required along with a strong desire to work in a fast-paced highly interdisciplinary environment.
- Experience developing templates for contracts and other business transactions.
- Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate cost effective vendor agreements.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Demonstrated ability to provide superior internal and external client experience
